Troubleshooting
“Port 1935 is already in use” or the app quits at start
Another copy of StreamPort, or another RTMP server, is using port 1935. Quit the other copy (Cmd+Q) and open StreamPort again. Only one copy can run at a time.
No signal from Wirecast
- Check the address is
rtmp://127.0.0.1:1935/livewith a stream name, and that you clicked Stream in Wirecast. - The Activity bar says if a second source was refused because another source is live (for example the camera).
The preview is black or says “Loading preview”
Wait a few seconds after the signal appears. If it stays, turn Live preview off and on in Settings → General.
A destination says Failed
Almost always a wrong stream key or server URL. For Facebook use the RTMPS server. For YouTube make sure the key belongs to a stream that is enabled. Re-copy the key, with no spaces.
A destination keeps reconnecting
Check your upload speed against the total shown in the header. Lower the bitrate in Wirecast, or re-encode that destination at a lower bitrate.
No sound with the virtual camera
A virtual camera carries video only. Choose an audio device in Settings → Source (macOS may ask for microphone permission), or use RTMP, which carries both.
Camera or microphone permission denied
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera / Microphone and allow StreamPort.
License will not activate
- Paste the whole key, starting with
SR1. - If it says the license is used on two Macs, press Deactivate on one of them.
