Text styles and fonts
Click Aa on any box in the Production panel, or open Settings → Production → Text styles. The editor slides in from the right.
What you can change
- Font: any font installed on your Mac, plus bold, italic and ALL CAPS.
- Size and alignment for the lower third name and title, banner, countdown, viewer comments and ticker.
- Colours: text colour and opacity, outline colour and width, drop shadow, and a background box with its own colour, opacity and padding.
- Ticker: scroll speed, bar colour, bar opacity and top or bottom position.
Animation
Each text can slide in and out (from the left, right, top or bottom) and fade, with its own speed. The lower third, banner and countdown come with sensible defaults; set In, Out, Fade and Speed at the bottom of the editor. The animation plays when you press Show or Hide, or when a scheduled cue fires. Turning Fade on or off restarts the production stage for a moment; the rest changes instantly.
How fast does it show?
Showing, hiding, moving and changing ticker speed are instant. Font, size and colour changes reach the stream in about a second. Text you have just edited waits that second before it appears, so the old version never flashes on air.
Production mode (Solo plan and up) must be on.
